The fall season is great in New Orleans. It boasts some of the more unique events that help make New Orleans what it is. If you have time to wander around this month make sure to check out these events–and give Limo Livery a call and we can get you to and from any (or all!) of them!

The Magazine Street Blues Festival

On November 12th Magazine Street and Napoleon Avenue  come to life! Starting at 11am and continuing through 7pm there will be music, shopping, food and all around fun for everyone. Don’t know much about Magazine Street? Click here to check it out.

New Orleans Fringe Festival

On November 16th thru the 20th go for something off the beaten path. There are 70 different performing groups that include a big-top goes berserk, a bona fide wedding bares and binds, e.e. cummings and Jackson Pollock get operatic, hip-hop heartthrobs, aerialists take trapeze to bed-bath-and-beyond…and a whole lot more. The Po-Boy Preservation Festival

This uniqe festival is on November 20th and we encourage you to bring your appetite. In New Orleans the classic sandwich is the Po-Boy. Made with crisp, fresh French Bread and anything you want in the middle. The favorites are fried shrimp, fried oysters, fried catfish, roast beef with lots of gravy, and ham and cheese. It is held uptown on Oak Street at South Carrollton. Besides Po-Boys from restaurants all over New Orleans, the festival will feature 2 stages with live music, arts & crafts, a silent auction, a children’s section with games & prizes. There is also an artists’ village where you can do all of your holiday shopping, and a history center where you can learn more about New Orleans’ most famous sandwich. State Farm Bayou Classic

One of the biggest rivalries in college football is played out in the Superdome in New Orleans every Thanksgiving weekend. As great as the football game is, the Bayou Classic is much more than that. Other events include a battle of the bands and Greek show, and a huge fan rally with food and music. Click here if you’re looking for more to do after the game
